Welcome to Plainfield Arts!
Not-for-profit Stewards of The Historic Town Hall and Opera House in Plainfield, Vermont
The Opera House is a modest-sized, affordable venue with a standing capacity of 244 people (150 people seated).
The building is owned and maintained by the town of Plainfield and is managed by Plainfield Arts, an organization of volunteers dedicated to keeping the arts and community alive and thriving in Plainfield and the surrounding region.
It is valued for its excellent acoustic qualities and for the ambiance created by its high, tin-clad ceilings and walls, its hardwood floor, tall sash windows, proscenium stage and red velvet curtains. "The Story Forest Network is proud to announce its inaugural live performance, featuring two original stories by Chris Marshall and Evan Premo.
Over the course of an hour, we will create a nervous system relaxing environment where family-friendly stories, nature sounds, and original music combine for a deeply restorative listening experience. Our story compositions are meant to heal, to captivate our imaginations, and to relieve us from over stimulation and screendom. We look forward to sharing this new experience with you, your family, and friends."
