Welcome to Plainfield Arts!
Not-for-profit Stewards of The Historic Town Hall and Opera House in Plainfield, Vermont

The Opera House is a modest-sized, affordable venue, with a capacity of 240 people (including a balcony that holds 45).
The building is owned and maintained by the town of Plainfield and is managed by Plainfield Arts, an organization of volunteers dedicated to keeping the arts and community alive and thriving in Plainfield and the surrounding region.
It is valued for its excellent acoustic qualities and for the ambiance created by its high, tin-clad ceilings and walls, its hardwood floor, tall sash windows, proscenium stage and red velvet curtains. The Opera House is available to host all kinds of events — opera, theater, lectures, dances, weddings, meetings and beyond.
